Man Utd 1 – Liverpool 3

In a week where Nani declared he was in the best form of his career and was obviously on a high from his recent successes, it all came crashing down on Sunday when Manchester United lost to Liverpool and Nani was stretchered off with a  leg injury.

It was not one of Nani’s better games.  Prior to the tackle, he had made an error with a defensive header that led to one of Dirk Kuyt’s three goals.

The tackle on Nani just prior to halftime by Jamie Carragher which resulted in a yellow card, could have done even more damage and Nani was lucky he was actually able to get up after the tackle and Carragher was lucky to actually stay on the field.

I will not post a picture of Nani’s injury as there are plenty of pictures doing the rounds on the internet at the moment of the injury.  I do not think it is important to actually see the injury, what is important is his recovery and getting him back on the pitch for Manchester United as quickly as possible.

His injury is being assessed Monday Morning and we will know the full extent after the assessment.
